Three experienced Eritrean riders will have the opportunity to show their talents on a professional level by riding for a German based professional cycling team – BIKE AID.

Meron Teshome, Amanuel Mengis and Meron Amanuel have already secured a one-year contract with this UCI Continental cycling team until the end of the next season.

These Eritrean talents have made their way up to fulfill their lifetime dream by riding as professionals.

Meron Teshome is Eritrea’s 2013 National Champion and a renowned sprinter.

Amanuel Mengis is a climbing expert and according to BIKE AID sporting director Yves Beau, he is one of the biggest climbing talents the team have ever seen from Eritrea.

“He is on the same level with Merhawi Kudus and has the ability to ride in constant speed during a stage race”, says Yves Beau.

Meron Amanuel is another promising, multi purpose rider who will be part of the 2016 African riders roster of Stradalli – BIKE AID.

In total the German team will have 6 riders from Africa, with two more from Rwanda and one from Tanzania.

“With a lot of effort, power and thanks to the support of our sponsors and partners, we were able to achieve this important step – to enlarge our concept of BIKE AID: developing African riders in combination with education programs”, Eric Haus, founder and CEO of BIKE AID said.
